Famous Chefs or Celebrity Chefs, Which Do You Prefer?

The flavors of freshly harvested microgreens are concentrated and full of zing, so it’s easy to understand why Michelin-starred chefs want to get their hands on them. French restaurant Le Salon de The de Joël Robuchon was an early adopter of microgreens.

Self-promotion is an integral part of elevating the chef’s status as an accomplished creator of fine cuisine until a chef makes it big and is able to outsource their marketing.  Do the most popular chefs relish the attention that accompanies ‘celebrity’ status?  Maybe a little, but what artist doesn’t?   I’m sure Gordon Ramsay doesn’t have trouble getting a table at the most popular restaurants, no matter what city he might be visiting.  So whether your culinary research takes you down the path of Famous Chefs or Celebrity Chefs, we’ve compiled a list of popular and influential chefs and will attempt to shed a little light on their choices and use of microgreens, micro herbs, and edible flowers as essential ingredients in their food art.

½ Handful of  Stevia Microgreens

1 Lime

2 oz White Rum

1 oz Triple Sec

2 oz Club Soda

Cup of Ice

Cut the lime into quarters, squeeze into the glass and drop the slices in. Tear up Stevia leaves and drop into glass. Set some aside for garnish.

Take a muddler and really grind the lime and Stevia leaves in the bottom of the glass.  After pressing and turning the mash together hard for a little bit fill the glass to the top with crushed ice.  Then mix the ice with the lime and Stevia solution.  Next, add Rum. Add the Club Soda now to the top of the glass.

Add Stevia Microgreens and a lime wedge to the top of the drink to garnish. Insert straw and serve with a smile!

*Note: regular mojitos call for a simple sugar syrup in the recipe, however using Stevia Microgreens is a fresher and healthier substitution! This low-calorie drink is great for dieters and those just trying to eat healthy.
